Choosing a Shopify product reviews app: five compared
Choosing a Shopify product reviews app: Judge.me, Loox, Okendo, Yotpo and Trust Flow Reviews, with rating and price from each app's listing.
Written by Tilly. Tilly is one of the apps on this page, so read it knowing that.

How this list was put together
A Shopify product reviews app does three jobs: asks customers for a review after delivery, shows reviews on your product pages, and sends them on to Google and social. Five apps are compared below, each from its own Shopify App Store listing.
Here is how this list was put together. None of these apps was installed and tested for this page: each one was read from its own listing on the Shopify App Store, and every rating, price and feature below is quoted from that listing on the day it was checked. Reading from listings means we can say what each app offers, not how well it works on your theme.
One of the five, Trust Flow Reviews, is made by MyBranz, Inc., the same company that makes Tilly. It is listed because it is a real option, and read the same way as the others; weigh what is said about it knowing that. source, checked 8 October 2026
Product reviews Shopify stores collect do more work than any other copy on the store, because they are written by people the next buyer trusts more than the brand. That is why the choice between product review apps matters more than its price suggests.

Judge.me
Judge.me lists a free plan, and its listing describes unlimited product reviews, star ratings and photo and video UGC. It automates review requests after fulfilment or delivery and adds review widgets and testimonial sliders, so it also covers anyone looking for a shopify testimonials app. source, checked 9 October 2026
For shopify google reviews, its listing says it syndicates reviews to Google, Meta and Shop, and it imports reviews from Yotpo, Loox, Amazon and Etsy if you are moving from another app. source, checked 9 October 2026
Watch out for the plan line: a free plan with paid plans above it means the features you want may sit on the paid one. Check which plan each feature on the listing belongs to before you design around it. source, checked 9 October 2026
Loox
Loox lists a free plan and is built around visual reviews: its listing describes collecting photo and video reviews automatically by email, QR code and discount. source, checked 9 October 2026
Its listing also says it syncs reviews to Shop, Meta Shops, Google Shopping and TikTok Shop, so reviews collected on your store can follow your products to the channels where they are sold. source, checked 9 October 2026
Watch out if your products are hard to photograph, like software, refills or anything sold on its ingredients: a review app built around pictures earns less when customers have nothing to show.
Okendo
Okendo's listing describes a platform with five connected apps for reviews, loyalty, surveys, quizzes and referrals, with AI review displays and UGC collection automations. source, checked 9 October 2026
It lists a free plan, and on that plan the listing gives a limit of up to 50 orders a month, which makes it a fit for a store that wants to try the platform before it grows into it. source, checked 9 October 2026
Watch out for the order limit on the free plan: up to 50 orders a month is a trial for most stores rather than a plan to stay on. source, checked 9 October 2026
Yotpo Product Reviews
Yotpo's listing shows a free plan for up to 50 monthly orders, with a sentiment and profanity check included, and a Starter plan at $15 a month above it. source, checked 9 October 2026
Its listing also notes that external charges may be billed by Yotpo separately from your Shopify invoice, and that pricing changes based on order volume, so the cost grows as the store does. source, checked 9 October 2026
Watch out for where the bill comes from: charges billed by the developer outside your Shopify invoice are easy to miss when you add up what your apps cost. source, checked 9 October 2026
Trust Flow Reviews
Trust Flow Reviews is made by MyBranz, Inc., who also make Tilly. Its listing describes AI moderation that detects and filters fake reviews, and unlimited reviews with photo and video reviews, review insights and UGC on its one plan. source, checked 8 October 2026
The plan is $15.99 a month, or $159 a year, with a 7-day free trial. It collects reviews by email request and by form, with import and export. source, checked 8 October 2026
Watch out for the price after the trial: its listing gives a 7-day free trial, then one plan at $15.99 a month or $159 a year, so try it on your own store before you pay. source, checked 8 October 2026
Where Tilly fits: it reads your reviews, it does not collect them
Tilly is not a review app. It reads the reviews your review app has collected, from Judge.me or Trust Flow Reviews, for 0 credits, and turns what customers say into your personas and their pain points, ad copy that quotes real reviews, and emails written in your customers' words.
An analysis of what the reviews say costs 5 credits, and runs again on its own once enough new reviews have arrived. Reviewer names, emails and phone numbers are never stored.

How to choose
Pick by what your store sells and how big it is. A new store with a few orders a month is well served by any of the free plans; the best free review app for Shopify at that stage is the one whose widget fits your theme and whose request email you like. A store selling on looks gains most from photo and video reviews. A store that has been burned by fake or abusive reviews should weigh moderation.
Then check the order limit on the free plan, where the bill comes from, and whether the app sends reviews to Google and to the channels you sell on. Those three decide what the app costs you a year from now, not today.
Questions people ask
What is the best product review app for Shopify?
There is no single answer, because the right one depends on the store. Judge.me and Loox both list a free plan on their own listings; Okendo bundles loyalty and surveys; Yotpo steps up by order volume; Trust Flow Reviews focuses on moderation. Read the table above by the job column first. source, checked 9 October 2026
Is there a free reviews app Shopify stores can start with?
Yes. Judge.me, Loox, Okendo and Yotpo all list a free plan. Okendo's and Yotpo's free plans have order limits of up to 50 a month, so check the limit against your order count. source, checked 9 October 2026
What is the best review app for Shopify free of charge?
For most stores starting out, a free plan with no order limit goes furthest. Of the free plans here, Okendo's and Yotpo's listings give limits of up to 50 orders a month; check each listing for the others. source, checked 9 October 2026
Is a Shopify review app free plan enough?
Often, at the start. A shopify review app free plan usually covers asking for reviews and showing them. Photo reviews, Google syndication and higher limits are where paid plans tend to begin, so check the listing for which plan each feature is on.
What is the best free product review app for Shopify if I sell on photos?
Loox is built around photo and video reviews and lists a free plan. Judge.me also collects photo and video UGC on its listing. source, checked 9 October 2026
Can a Shopify app for reviews send them to Google?
Some can. Judge.me's listing says it syndicates reviews to Google, Meta and Shop, and Loox's says it syncs reviews to Google Shopping among others. That is how shopify google reviews show up next to your products in search. source, checked 9 October 2026
Does Klaviyo do reviews on Shopify?
Klaviyo's Shopify listing names product reviews among its campaign types. If you already use Klaviyo, search its help for Klaviyo reviews Shopify setup before adding another app. source, checked 9 October 2026
Are there product reviews by Shopify itself?
Look on the Shopify App Store for what Shopify itself currently publishes. The apps on this page are made by other developers, one of them by the company that makes Tilly.
How do I show reviews on Shopify website pages?
Reviews on a Shopify website are shown by the review app's widgets: star ratings under the product title, a review list lower down, and often a carousel on the home page. Reviews in Shopify itself, without an app, are not something the theme shows on its own.
What do people mean by app review Shopify searches?
Usually the same as this page: which reviews Shopify app to install. Customer review apps, the customer review app Shopify stores use, and reviews for Shopify store pages are all the same job: collect, show and share what buyers say. The shopify customer reviews app you pick should do all three.
Which is the best Shopify app for reviews if I worry about fake ones?
Look for moderation. Trust Flow Reviews, made by the company behind Tilly, lists AI moderation that detects and filters fake reviews; Yotpo's free plan lists a sentiment and profanity check. source, checked 8 October 2026
What is the best customer review app for Shopify stores that also want loyalty?
Okendo, whose listing describes reviews, loyalty, surveys, quizzes and referrals in one platform. The best Shopify product review app for a store that wants one bill for all of those is usually the one that bundles them; the best app for Shopify reviews alone may be simpler. source, checked 9 October 2026
