Shopify reporting apps, from free reports to full attribution
Shopify reporting apps compared: Report Pundit, Lifetimely, Tilly, Triple Whale and Polar Analytics, with what each reports and what it costs.

How this list was put together
Shopify reporting apps answer different questions. Some build the custom reports Shopify's own analytics does not; some work out profit and lifetime value; some say which ad channel made the sale. Five are compared here, each read from its own Shopify App Store listing, and Tilly also from its own product.
How this list was put together: none of these apps was installed and tested for this page. Each was read from its own listing on the Shopify App Store, and every plan, price and rating below is quoted from that listing on the day it was checked.
Tilly has a basic reporting dashboard of its own, so it is one of the apps compared here, listed in the middle rather than at the top. Its rating is read from its own Shopify App Store listing like the others; what its section says comes from Tilly's own product and plans.

Report Pundit
Report Pundit lists a free plan and describes custom reports and dashboards built from 150 pre-built reports across sales, payouts and profit. Reports can be exported, scheduled and shared to Excel, CSV, PDF, Slack and Google Sheets. source, checked 9 October 2026
Its listing showed a 5.0 rating on the day it was checked. source, checked 9 October 2026
Watch out for the kind of question it answers: it is strongest on what happened in the store, orders, payouts and stock, rather than on which ad caused a sale.
Lifetimely
Lifetimely lists a free plan that, on its listing, includes a predictive LTV model, and describes real-time profit and loss reports with sales forecasting. source, checked 9 October 2026
Lifetime value is the number that says how much a new customer is worth over time, which is what decides how much it is sensible to pay to win one.
Watch out for the inputs: profit reports are only as good as the costs you enter, so set product costs, shipping and fees properly before trusting the numbers.
Tilly: one basic dashboard for Shopify, Meta, Google and Klaviyo
Tilly's Reports page is a basic dashboard. It sets Shopify's net sales against what the whole ad account spent on Meta, and on Google once Google Ads is connected, and shows blended ROAS, CAC, MER and new customers for the period you pick, with a chart day by day.
Beside the blended number it puts Meta's own ROAS and how much of your net sales Meta credits to its ads, so an ad account that claims more than the store took in is easy to spot. It also shows the email revenue Klaviyo credits to the flows and campaigns Tilly published, and the Email results tab lists what each of those emails earned.
Each week Tilly also sends the results of what it made, emails, posts, ads and page fixes, read by persona and angle, with the next three things worth doing. Reports cost no credits, and on the Agency plan they are white-label.
Watch out: Tilly's Reports page is a basic dashboard, not attribution. It does not follow each buyer across channels, which is what Triple Whale and Polar Analytics are on this list for, and it does not work out profit after costs or lifetime value. It needs Shopify and Meta connected to fill in, its ad spend is the whole account rather than only Tilly's ads, and Klaviyo's email revenue overlaps with ad sales.

Triple Whale
Triple Whale lists a free plan with first- and last-click attribution models, and a Foundation plan at $219 a month above it. source, checked 9 October 2026
Its listing showed a 4.0 rating on the day it was checked. source, checked 9 October 2026
Watch out for the step up in price: $219 a month for the Foundation plan makes sense for a store running several paid channels, less so for one. source, checked 9 October 2026
Polar Analytics
Polar Analytics' listing describes tracking ROAS, MER and blended CAC across Meta, Google, TikTok and Amazon, and its Core plan starts from $750 a month. source, checked 9 October 2026
Watch out for fit: at a starting price of $750 a month it is built for stores with enough spend across channels to need it. source, checked 9 October 2026
How to choose
Name the question first. If it is what sold and when, a custom report builder answers it. If it is whether customers are worth what you pay to win them, you want profit and lifetime value. If it is which ad channel deserves the budget, you want attribution.
Then match the price to the decision. A free plan is enough to answer the first two for most small stores; attribution tools earn their price once you are spending enough across channels that moving budget between them matters.
Questions people ask
Do I need a reporting app if Shopify has analytics built in?
Not at first. Shopify's own analytics covers sales, orders and traffic. Reporting apps earn their place when you need custom reports, profit after costs, lifetime value or attribution across ad channels.
Which of these has a free plan?
Report Pundit, Lifetimely and Triple Whale all list a free plan. Polar Analytics lists paid plans from $750 a month. source, checked 9 October 2026
What is the difference between first-click and last-click attribution?
First-click gives the sale to the first ad or channel a buyer met; last-click gives it to the last one before they bought. Neither is the whole truth, which is why comparing the two is more useful than trusting one.
Can Tilly report on my whole store?
Partly. Its Reports page reads the whole store's net sales from Shopify and the whole ad account's spend, so blended ROAS and MER cover the store, not only Tilly's marketing. It does not break sales down by product, payout or cohort, and it does not attribute each sale to a channel; for those, use one of the other apps on this list.
Can an agency use these for client reporting?
Report Pundit's listing describes scheduled reports shared to Excel, CSV, PDF, Slack and Google Sheets, which suits client reporting. Tilly's Agency plan has white-label reports. source, checked 9 October 2026
Which report should a small store look at every week?
Three numbers are enough at the start: sales by channel, the share of visitors who buy, and how many first-time buyers came back. If one of them moves, a reporting app can tell you why; if none of them moves, more reports will not help.
Is lifetime value worth tracking for a new store?
Once you have a few months of repeat orders, yes. Lifetime value tells you how much a new customer is worth over time, and that decides how much you can sensibly spend to win the next one. Before that, there is too little history for the number to mean much.
