Shopify marketing apps: one for each job, and what each one costs
Shopify marketing apps for email, reviews, SEO, Meta, Google and attribution: one per job, with rating and price from each app's own listing.
Written by Tilly. Tilly is one of the apps on this page, so read it knowing that.

How this list was put together
Shopify marketing apps each do one job: send email, collect reviews, fix search, connect an ad channel, or say which sale came from where. This shortlist takes one app per job, six in all, each read from its own Shopify App Store listing.
How this list was put together: no app here was installed and tested for this page. Each was read from its own listing on the Shopify App Store, and the ratings, prices and features below are quoted from those listings as they stood on the day they were checked.
The list is by job, not by score, because a store needs one of each kind rather than the six highest-rated apps. Tilly is a marketing app too, and the section on it says plainly which of these jobs it does and which it leaves to the apps here.

Email: Klaviyo
Email is the marketing job most stores add first, and Klaviyo is free to install. Its listing describes a guided setup for new stores, a sign-up form, a welcome email and an abandoned-checkout flow, plus data from 350+ integrations. source, checked 9 October 2026
Compare it with Omnisend, Mailchimp and Shopify Messaging on the email marketing apps shortlist.
Watch out for its free tier once the list grows: its listing gives email free for up to 250 contacts. source, checked 9 October 2026
Reviews: Judge.me
Reviews are marketing a store does not have to write. Judge.me lists a free plan and describes review requests after fulfilment or delivery, review widgets and testimonial sliders. source, checked 9 October 2026
Four other review apps, including Trust Flow Reviews, which is made by the company behind Tilly, are on the review apps shortlist.
Watch out for which plan each feature is on: a free plan with paid plans above it puts some widgets out of reach until you upgrade. source, checked 9 October 2026
Search: Plug in SEO
Search is the job that keeps paying after the work is done. Plug in SEO's listing describes an SEO scanner that finds every issue, from missing tags to broken schema, from $29.99 a month with a free trial. source, checked 9 October 2026
More SEO apps are compared on the SEO apps shortlist.
Watch out for the page limit on the entry plan: its listing gives the Lite plan a scan of up to 200 pages. source, checked 9 October 2026
Meta: Facebook & Instagram
The official app from Meta connects your catalogue and helps set up the conversion pixel, which is what lets Meta see a sale after an ad click. It is free to install; ad spend is billed to your Facebook ad account. source, checked 9 October 2026
Watch out for the reviews on its own listing before you rely on it alone: its rating there is 3.8, well below most apps on this page. source, checked 9 October 2026
Google: Google & YouTube
Google's own app connects your store to Merchant Center to show your products across Google, and runs Performance Max campaigns from inside Shopify. It is free to install; ad spend goes to your Google Ads account at the daily budget you set. source, checked 8 October 2026
Watch out for what it does not write: the feed and the campaigns connect your products, but search ad copy that speaks to your buyers still has to come from somewhere.
Attribution: Triple Whale
Once two or three channels are running, someone has to say which one made the sale. Triple Whale lists a free plan with first- and last-click attribution, and a Foundation plan at $219 a month. source, checked 9 October 2026
Other reporting apps are compared on the reporting apps shortlist.
Watch out for the step from free to paid, which its listing puts at $219 a month for the Foundation plan: worth it for a store spending on several channels, a lot for one that is not yet. source, checked 9 October 2026
Where Tilly fits: the work these apps are waiting for
Every app above is a pipe. Klaviyo sends the email someone wrote; the Meta and Google apps run the ads someone made; the SEO scanner lists the fixes someone has to write. Tilly is the marketing app that does that writing: 8 agents from one brand profile write your flows and campaigns into Klaviyo, your Meta and Google ads, your SEO fixes and blog posts for Shopify, and plan your tests.
It does not send email, collect reviews or replace the channel apps; it works through them, and nothing goes out without your approval. The first audit is free and shows which of these jobs your store has not covered yet.

How to choose
Cover the jobs in the order they pay back: email and reviews first, because they work on the visitors you already have; search next; paid channels once your product pages convert; attribution once you run more than one paid channel. The best marketing app for a store is the one that covers the job it has left empty.
Shopify marketing tools that need no install, like a UTM builder for tagging campaign links or a ROAS calculator, cover some jobs for free. The best Shopify marketing apps are the ones you set up properly, not the ones you install and forget.
Questions people ask
What are the best Shopify marketing apps for a new store?
An email app and a review app first, then the free Google and Meta channel apps. Most of those have a free way in on their listings, so a new store can cover the basics before paying for anything.
How many Shopify apps for marketing does a store need?
One per job: email, reviews, search, each paid channel, and reporting once several channels run. More than one app per job usually means two sets of the same work.
Is there one app that covers all of Shopify marketing?
Not the sending and the collecting: email still needs a sender and reviews a review app. The writing and planning can sit in one app; that is what one app replaces covers.
What is the best marketing app for Meta ads on Shopify?
The official Facebook & Instagram app connects your catalogue and pixel, and is free to install. Making the ads is a separate job, which is where Tilly's ads agent comes in. source, checked 9 October 2026
Which Shopify marketing tools are free?
The Google & YouTube and Facebook & Instagram apps are free to install, and Klaviyo, Judge.me and Triple Whale have free ways in on their listings. Tilly's own free tools need no install or sign-up. source, checked 8 October 2026
