It is written for a store with no marketing hire and not much to spend, so each entry answers three questions: what the app does for nothing, what the first paid step costs, and what you still have to do yourself. Shopify Campaign Autopilot: no fee, you pay only for what it runs
For a small store the first question is cost, and Shopify Campaign Autopilot has none of its own: Shopify's help center says it is free to use, and you pay for the marketing you approve and run through it. What it does for that: it generates ads from your product catalog with no extra creative needed, runs them as Meta Advantage+ campaigns, and sends abandoned checkout, abandoned cart, abandoned browse and welcome series emails in your store's colours and logo. Watch out for the setup it needs and the budget it keeps: the store must use Shopify Payments, have shipping set up and refund and shipping policies in place, and not be in private mode, and the monthly budget is a target it can, in some cases, go above. AdCreative.ai: ad creative on a $19 Shopify plan
If the ads are the job and you have no designer, AdCreative.ai is the cheapest paid entry on this list. Tilly: what a small brand gets for free, and for $49 a month
Tilly is a Shopify marketing app made by MyBranz, Inc. For nothing, it audits your store, works out who buys from you, and builds a brand profile with customer personas; previews, results, reports and next month's email calendar plan are free too. Signing up adds 100 credits once, which expire after 30 days: enough to see a Klaviyo welcome flow at 30 credits, a blog post at 15 or a Meta batch at 10 plus 5 per image made.
Publishing needs a paid plan. The Store plan is $49 a month for 500 credits and one store, and unused credits roll over. Drafts go into Klaviyo, ads into Meta and Google Ads paused, and SEO fixes and blog posts into Shopify, each when you approve it, and each night it learns from what they earned. It also reads your reviews from Judge.me or Trust Flow Reviews, a reviews app made by MyBranz, Inc. too. Plans are on the pricing page, and the agents on the email, ads and SEO pages.
Watch out: Tilly does not send anything. You need a Klaviyo account to send its emails, ads go in paused and spend starts only when you switch one on, and it does not make videos, run SMS or WhatsApp, collect reviews or answer customers in chat. On the free start you can look at everything it writes but not publish it.

Enrich Labs: a free plan with blog articles in it
Enrich Labs' free plan on Shopify gives 3 AI chat questions and 3 SEO blog articles a month, which is a real way to find out whether its writing suits your store. Pick the one job that is empty today, whether that is ads, email flows or search, and start with the app whose free tier does that job, before paying for anything.
The best AI tools for a new Shopify store also need a store that is ready: products with real descriptions, policies in place and an email list, however small. Run the free store audit first. It needs nothing connected, and it shows which of those gaps to close before an AI app has anything good to work with.
