Tilly vs AdCreative.ai

AdCreative.ai and Tilly both make ads, and they start from different places. AdCreative.ai is a generator: it produces banners and ad text in volume, with unlimited generations on its Shopify plan, and analyses how your creative performs. Tilly's ads agent starts from an audit of your store and the personas it finds, writes each ad for one persona and one pain point, checks it against Meta's policy and your category's claim rules, and publishes it to Meta paused.

Choose AdCreative.ai if you want many variations quickly for Facebook and Google at a low price, and you or your team will choose, check and upload them. Choose Tilly if you want fewer, more deliberate ads that match your emails and pages, checked before they reach your account.

AdCreative.ai's column is read from its Shopify App Store listing, the only one of its pages that states a price we could read; its own pricing address returned an error. Shopify's listing itself notes that some details may be incomplete.

On Shopify, AdCreative.ai offers a Shopify Special plan at $19 a month with 100 credits, unlimited generations, an image search engine and a text generator, after a 3-day free trial. Its website shows other plans, but not on a pricing page we could read and check, so they are not listed here.

Tilly starts with 100 free credits and no card, then $49 a month for 500 credits. A set of ads costs 25 credits, and the same balance pays for email flows, blog posts and page fixes. Previews and the audit are free.

On price alone, AdCreative.ai is cheaper for ads. The question is whether you want an ad generator, or ads as one part of marketing that is planned and written in one place.

Tilly's ads come from your customers, not a template. The audit reads your reviews and store and builds personas; each ad names one persona's situation and answers one of their worries, so a set of five tests five real angles rather than five colour schemes.

It checks the copy before you see it. Tilly's ads agent writes against Meta's rule on personal attributes, describing the situation rather than claiming something about the viewer, and against your category's claim rules. That is where supplement, skincare and pet ads are most often rejected.

It publishes, paused. Approved ads go into a Meta campaign you choose, paused, so there is no downloading and uploading, and nothing spends until you turn it on. Results come back to each creative: spend, return on ad spend, click-through and cost per purchase.

The ads match everything else. The same brand profile writes your email flows, blog posts and product-page fixes, so the promise in the ad is the one the landing page and the follow-up email keep.

It shows its reasoning. Each ad in a set carries the persona and the pain point it was written for, so when one wins you know why, and the next set can build on the angle rather than on a colour or a font.

Nothing needs to move. Ads you made with AdCreative.ai live in your Meta and Google accounts and keep running. Tilly's new sets land beside them, paused.
