Why people look for something other than Shoplift
Price testing is not on the entry plan. Shoplift's Core plan covers template, theme and URL tests; price testing starts on Advanced at $399 a month, which is a big step for a store that mainly wants to test prices. source, checked 25 September 2026
Visitors set the price. Plans are based on site-wide monthly unique visitors, and Core covers up to 100k, so a store with a lot of low-intent traffic pays for visitors who rarely buy. source, checked 25 September 2026
Someone still has to decide what to test. Lift Assist can build variants, but choosing the hypothesis, and knowing which customer objection a change should answer, remains the owner's job. source, checked 25 September 2026
The upper plans are a jump. Advanced is $399 a month and Pro $999; stores that only need a few extra features can find the step from Core steep. source, checked 25 September 2026
The shortlist
Figures come from each tool's own pricing page or Shopify App Store listing, linked in the table with the date read. Where a listing showed no reviews, none are shown. Tilly wrote this page and is on the list.

Tilly
Best for: a store that needs the test ideas and the copy as much as the testing: Tilly's CRO agent finds problems on your pages, ties each to a customer objection, writes the fix on a preview theme, and the experiments agent tests it, along with email and Meta ad variants.
Watch out for: No theme swaps, no price tests and no template-level testing. Stores whose testing programme is mostly those should keep a specialist.
Pricing: CRO audit 20 credits, each fix 10, each test 10; Store plan $49 a month for 500 credits after 100 free.
Intelligems
Best for: a store that wants to test the offer itself: prices, discounts, shipping, checkout and post-purchase, with profit and cost of goods reported on every test.
Watch out for: Pricing scales with sitewide order volume, so costs grow with the business, and full coverage means the Unlimited plan.
Pricing: Smart Content from $69 a month; Unlimited from $349; 14-day free trial. source, checked 25 September 2026
VWO
Best for: teams that want A/B, split and multivariate testing with Bayesian reporting, plus heatmaps, recordings and surveys in one suite, now sold as Wingify.
Watch out for: Prices are quoted, not published, and depend on monthly active users. The Shopify app requires a Wingify subscription.
Pricing: Custom quote; 30-day free trial, no card. source, checked 25 September 2026
Convert
Best for: a team that tests across more than one site and wants a general testing platform, with a Shopify app that adds tracking without theme edits and Shopify price testing listed among new features.
Watch out for: It needs a separate Convert.com account, and its entry plan costs more than Shoplift's Core.
Pricing: Growth from $399 a month billed monthly, $299 billed annually; 15-day free trial with no card. source, checked 25 September 2026
How to choose
Decide what you want to test first. Theme and template tests point to Shoplift; price and shipping tests to Intelligems or a plan that includes price testing; page copy, emails and ads to Tilly; many sites and heavy analysis to VWO or Convert.
Then check how each counts you. Visitors, orders, tested users and active users give very different bills for the same store. Put your own monthly numbers into each pricing page before comparing.
Be realistic about traffic. Every testing tool needs enough visitors and orders to reach a reliable answer. A small store is better served by fewer, bolder tests, and by fixing obvious problems without testing them at all.
Finally, think about who writes the variant. If the answer is nobody, choose a tool that writes it, or budget time for it; an empty testing tool teaches nothing.
Finish or stop live tests before moving. Apply the Shoplift winners you want to keep to your live theme first, so the next tool starts from the version customers are actually seeing, and keep a note of what each test showed.
If you use Shoplift's theme testing for a rebrand, plan that as a one-off project rather than a reason to keep a subscription. Many stores test a new theme once, apply the winner, and then need page-level tests far more often than theme-level ones.
Use the free trials on a real question. Shoplift and Intelligems both give 14 days, Convert 15 and Wingify 30. Pick one page and one change you genuinely want an answer on before starting a trial, so the trial ends with a result rather than a half-built setup.
Questions people ask
Which Shoplift alternative tests prices?
Intelligems is built around price, discount and shipping tests, and Convert lists Shopify price testing among its newer features. Tilly does not test prices.
Which is cheapest to start?
Tilly's tests are 10 credits each on a $49 a month plan, and Intelligems' Smart Content starts at $69. Shoplift's Core starts at $99. Each tests different things.
Do any of these avoid page flicker?
Shoplift and Wingify both state flicker-free testing on their Shopify listings. Tilly's page tests run on your theme, so check performance after any change goes live.
Which alternatives test more than the storefront?
