Tilly vs Omnisend

If you send through Omnisend today and are happy with it, Tilly is not ready for you yet, and we would rather say so here than after you sign up. Tilly publishes emails into Klaviyo; Omnisend is on its list of senders to support next, not live. Until it is, an Omnisend store would be copying Tilly's emails across by hand.

Pick Omnisend if you want one app that sends email, SMS and web push with ready-made automations at a low entry price. Look at Tilly if your problem is less the sending and more everything around it: knowing who buys, writing the flows for them, and doing the same for your blog, ads and product pages.

Omnisend prices by contacts, with a free plan up to 250 contacts and 500 emails a month. On its Shopify listing, Standard starts at $16 a month for up to 500 contacts and Pro at $59 for up to 2,500, both rising as the list grows; SMS is extra, from $0.007 a message. Omnisend also gives an account expert to anyone paying $400 a month or more.

Tilly does not price by contacts or sends. After 100 free credits, the Store plan is $49 a month for 500 credits and Growth is $149 for 2,000 credits across up to 3 stores. A flow costs 30 credits and a campaign 10; audits, previews and reports cost nothing. Because Tilly is not a sender, the fair comparison is with the time or agency spend that goes into writing your emails today, not with Omnisend's bill.

• Omnisend is a sender. Email, newsletters, SMS and web push go out from one account; Tilly sends nothing and needs a sender behind it.
• It ships ready-made welcome, abandoned cart and post-purchase automations that work the day you install it, with no writing step in between.
• Its track record on Shopify is long and public: 3,185 reviews and a 4.7 rating on the App Store when we checked.
• Tilly cannot publish into Omnisend yet. For an Omnisend store that is the deciding point today, and it will stay one until that connection ships.

Tilly starts from your store rather than from a template. The free audit reads your storefront, products and reviews and builds personas with their pain points, and each email it writes answers one of those pains for one of those people. Omnisend's AI helps write copy and choose products for a campaign you have already decided to send; Tilly decides what is worth sending in the first place.

It covers more than email. The same brand profile feeds an SEO agent that publishes posts to your Shopify blog, an ads agent that sends creative to Meta paused, and a CRO agent that puts page fixes on a preview copy of your theme. The personas and the claims stay consistent across all of them.

Results come back to the work. A campaign's revenue sits next to the persona and the angle it was written for, so the next month's plan builds on what actually worked.

It also plans. The email calendar agent lays out next month's campaigns around holidays in the countries you sell to and your own launches, with a reason for each slot, and the plan is free. Building the month is where the credits go.

Today there is no clean switch from Omnisend to Tilly, because Tilly does not publish to Omnisend. If you want Tilly's writing now, the choices are to paste its emails into Omnisend yourself, or to move sending to Klaviyo, which is a larger decision than this page should make for you.

If you do move senders, export contacts with their consent and suppression status, expect to rebuild each automation by hand, and warm the new sending domain gradually rather than mailing the whole list on day one. None of that is specific to Tilly; it is what any move between senders costs.
