Tilly

Shopify branding that sounds the same in every channel

Shopify branding is more than a logo and a theme colour. It is how your store sounds and looks every time a customer meets it: on a product page, in an email, in an ad. Tilly reads that from your own store into a brand profile, and every email, post and ad it writes uses it.

It is common for a brand to live in the founder's head and differently in each tool. The email app has one set of colours, the ad tool writes in another voice, and the blog sounds like whoever wrote last. Customers notice the drift even when they could not name it. Writing the brand down once, where everything reads from it, is the fix.

Your brand, read from your own store

The free audit reads how your store already writes and looks: the words you use on product pages and your about page, your palette, your photo style, and what customers say about you in reviews. From that it builds a brand profile instead of asking you to fill in a questionnaire.

The brand profile holds your voice, your look, your offers and the rules of your category. It is a starting point, not a verdict: you can edit any part of it, and every agent uses the edited version from then on.

  • Voice read from your own product copy and pages
  • Palette and photo style read from your storefront
  • Offers and category rules written down once

Brand voice that carries into email, ads and posts

Once the profile exists, consistency stops depending on who wrote what. Tilly runs 8 agents, and all of them write from the same profile: the welcome email, the Meta ad, the blog post and the product page fix all use the same voice and the same promises.

The words come from your customers as well as from you. Every piece is aimed at one persona from your audit, and uses the language that persona uses in your reviews, so the brand sounds like the store your buyers already describe.

  • One profile behind every agent
  • Your customers' own words, not stock phrases
  • Edits to the profile apply everywhere

Your look, in every picture Tilly makes

Words are half of a brand. Blog covers and illustrations are made in your brand colours, and ad images follow your look rather than a template's. Emails take your accent colour, and each email can carry its own accent when a campaign needs one.

Each picture is optional and charged separately, so a store that already has photography it likes can keep using it and let Tilly write around it.

  • Blog covers and illustrations in your brand colours
  • Ad images that follow your look
  • An accent colour on every email

Brand is scored, so it gets fixed

Brand is one of the five areas the audit scores, out of 100, alongside email, SEO, ads and conversion. A low brand score usually means the store says different things in different places: a product page promise the about page contradicts, or a tone that changes from page to page.

Those findings go into the 30-day plan with the rest, ordered by effort and impact for your store, so branding work is done in the same queue as everything else instead of waiting for a rebrand.

Questions people ask

What is Shopify branding, beyond the theme?

The theme sets colours, fonts and layout. Branding is what you say and how you say it: the promise on every product page, the tone of every email, the reason a customer would pick you over a cheaper copy. A theme can look right while the brand still says nothing.

Do I have to fill in a brand questionnaire?

No. The audit reads your store and builds the profile from what is already there. You then correct anything it got wrong, which takes far less time than describing your brand from scratch.

Can I change the brand voice later?

Yes. Edit the profile and every agent writes from the new version. Work already approved stays as it was; anything written after the edit uses it.

What if my store's copy is not how I want to sound?

Then the profile is the place to say so. Rewrite the voice section the way you want to sound, and Tilly writes to that, while still using the words your customers use about your products.

Does Tilly change my theme or logo?

No. Tilly does not edit your theme. Brand changes to pages come as written fixes you apply, or steps you make yourself.

How much does it cost?

The audit that builds your brand profile is free. Building emails, posts and ads from it costs credits: you get 100 when you sign up, and the Store plan is $49 a month for 500.
